Bonté Foods/Chris Brothers Launches New Line of Gluten Free Products

Dieppe-based meat manufacturer Bonté Foods/ Chris Brothers has launched a new line of zero-gluten products. The company said in a news release this week that the new product line is the result of two years of research and development.

“Our objective was to eliminate gluten in our meat products without altering the excellent flavour profiles our customers have come to love”, company president Mike Whittaker said in a news release. The company employs 110 people at its Dieppe plant and produces over 300 food products for food service, grocer-retail and institutional markets across Canada.

Whittaker said the conversion to gluten-free represents a significant investment in the future of the company and the community and is hopeful that consumers in Metro Moncton will continue to support locally produced meat products.
